At Wild Skye Ranch, every horse receives an individualized training program designed around their experience, temperament, goals, and needs. Our focus is on building a strong foundation while developing a confident, willing partner. We welcome equines of all breeds and ages.
$1,200/30 Days
Your monthly training package includes:
Mustang/burro gentling and Colt Starting
60 days is highly recommended for colt starting.
Starting a young horse takes time, consistency, and patience. A 60-day program allows us to establish a solid foundation while giving your horse the opportunity to develop confidence, understanding, and reliability.
Individualized Training
No two horses are the same. Your horse’s program will be tailored to their current level of training and your individual goals.
Consistent Work
Your horse will receive 5 training sessions each week, providing the consistency necessary for meaningful progress.
Quality Care
While your horse is in training, they will receive outdoor board, shelter, and access to high-quality forages. Stalling is available when weather conditions require it.
Showing Opportunities
For owners interested in competition, showing options are available as part of your horse’s training journey.
1. Payment for the first 30 days is received.
2. The training contract has been signed.
Once both requirements are completed, your horse’s place in the training schedule is officially reserved.
Important Payment Information
Payment for the first month of training is due PRIOR to the arrival of your horse.
To protect the health and well-being of every horse at Wild Skye Ranch, the following must be completed before your horse arrives:
✓ Dental Care
Teeth must have been checked and floated as needed.
✓ Vaccinations
Horse must be current on all required vaccinations.
✓ Coggins
A current negative Coggins is required.
✓ Farrier Care
Feet must be properly maintained, with a farrier appointment within 8 weeks prior to drop-off.
If an owner is unable to complete the required veterinary or farrier care before the horse arrives at Wild Skye Ranch, the required services must be completed while the horse is in training.
Arrangements for veterinary and farrier services should be communicated with Wild Skye Ranch prior to or immediately upon arrival.
